Background

Laura is a graduate of Brandeis University where she majored in economics and business. At Brandeis she focused on the connections between human choice and economic behavior, and the ways individuals and institutions are linked to social behaviors. Her academic projects spanned across many important topics, including economic development, income equality, inflation, and national trade. In prior professional roles she held positions that were quite fulfilling as she is drawn to opportunities that let her provide mentorship to community youth and promote environmental sustainability. Throughout her experiences she came to appreciate the importance of respectful communication and sought opportunities where he could apply her unique skills in a way that truly enhances the client experience. Laura’s welcoming personality and eagerness to ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment make her a perfect fit for the Client Service Associate role at Centerpoint.

Working at Centerpoint

As Client Service Associate, no two days are ever the same, however one consistency is that Laura is a key component to expediting urgent client matters. Laura’s day-to-day activities include creating comforting spaces for professional meetings as well as the organization and preparation of portfolio reviews, tax reporting, and CRM technology database maintenance. Laura is also the first to assist with all incoming client calls, quickly identifying their needs to assess solutions as efficiently as possible. To stay on top of the items that matter most to clients, she participates in a wide range of continuing education programs surrounding the economic topics relating the market environment to portfolio performance. This aspect of personal connection and the positive influence she can have on clients’ financial well-being is what truly motivates her in this field.

Outside the Office

Laura’s time outside the office promotes balance which undoubtedly contributes to her arriving to work each week recharged and ready to be productive. When not in the office, Laura likes to fill her time with both mindful activities to stay grounded, such as yoga and drawing, as well as taking on new physical challenges having recently rekindled her love for long-distance running. Socially, Laura takes advantage of the active area we are lucky to live in and often gathers with friends for bowling, wine tasting, and interesting classes. Her creative nature is appreciated by friends, family, and colleagues alike.
