John David Wolfsberg

Portfolio Manager

CFA, CFP®

John (JD) is intrigued by the trends of the capital markets. It was this intense curiosity that led him to pursue a career in financial services beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with Minor in Economics from Stonehill College.

JD’s work at State Street Bank immediately following graduation solidified his interest in the industry. JD is a CFA® charterholder and is an Investment Advisor Representative through Centerpoint Advisors (FINRA Series 65 license). With an immense respect for client service and strong technical skills, JD joined the Centerpoint team in early 2018.

Background

JD graduated from Stonehill College in 2015 where balancing a rigorous academic schedule and varsity football commitment developed his strong work ethic. Following graduation he took a position at State Street where he worked directly with external investment managers. In 2016 he moved to GW&K Investment Management where he continued to gain exposure to the investment industry and expand his knowledge of the markets. JD began with Centerpoint in January 2018 and brings a welcomed skillset.

Working at Centerpoint

JD works closely with the firm’s Managing Principals and Co-Portfolio Manager to research and analyze investment selections. He helps to support our portfolio management team by maintaining extensive investment databases, analyzing the performance of existing investment selections, and presenting potential investment selections to the Investment Committee. JD also develops market commentary to keep the team abreast of the week’s most pertinent research and economic news.

Outside the Office

As a new homeowner, JD is happily kept busy with home improvement projects both large and small. While he used to enjoy road trips in his Jeep to the mountains or along the shoreline in Cape Cod with his wife and his dogs, he has since traded the Jeep life in for a mini van with his daughter being born. When the New England weather permits, JD can occasionally be found on the golf course with his father, John E. Wolfsberg (who is usually in the woods). An avid Boston sports fan, JD attends both Patriots and Bruins games as often as possible.
