With a strong background not only academically but also professionally with over five years’ experience in fund accountancy, Kevin appreciates and enhances the level of detail provided to Centerpoint clients and their portfolios.
Kevin is a team player in all areas of life. He was drawn to the elements of customer service that are hidden, yet so important, in the world of finance then gravitated to portfolio management seeing an opportunity to provide clear, concise analysis to clients. Kevin welcomes continued learning especially in the areas of asset management, investment knowledge, and financial technology.
Background
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Maine where he majored in Finance, focusing on the functioning of financial markets and institutions, methods of financing business operations, and security selection and portfolio management. Naturally drawn to the former and latter of that list, following graduation he pursued a position as a fund accountant at State Street Bank. After quickly rising to a senior associate, Kevin accepted a position with Brown Brothers Harriman as a Client Service Supervisor. His compassionate personality and determination to provide accurate research, analysis, and reporting in a timely manner make him a natural fit for the Centerpoint Advisors team.
Working at Centerpoint
Attention to detail and creating efficiencies are just two of Kevin’s strengths that perfectly led to his role as Client Service Associate at then Research Associate at Centerpoint Advisors. His day-to-day activities include investment research and analysis, portfolio modeling, trade execution and monitoring. Kevin is also the first to organize incoming portfolio information, quickly identifying client needs to assess for solutions as efficiently as possible. To stay on top of the items that matter most to clients, he frequently participates in investment committee meetings, portfolio manager presentations, and is key to expediting urgent client matters. Kevin also holds the FINRA series 65 license.
Outside the Office
Kevin is productive by nature, and even on off days he works on a moving company business with his brother, with their longest move to-date of over 1,000 miles. As do many Massachusetts natives, however, Kevin also enjoys unwinding by watching the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots during the many cold months of the year. He is a fan of the chillier seasons and takes advantage of the region’s climate by snowboarding and playing hockey regularly. When the New England weather treats us to months that are not so frigid, Kevin and his wife Kasey can often be seen walking their dog rescue dogs Jack and Millie, down the many trails, mountains, and shorelines they explore.
