Kevin Donohue, Client Service Associate
With a strong background not only academically but also professionally with over five years’ experience in fund accountancy, Kevin appreciates and enhances the level of detail provided to Centerpoint clients. As a team player in all areas of life, he was drawn to the elements of customer service that are hidden yet so important in the world of finance. Kevin welcomes continued learning especially in the areas of asset management, investment knowledge, and financial technology, and is currently studying for the FINRA series 65 exam.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Maine where he majored in Finance at the Maine Business School. There, he focused on the functioning of financial markets and institutions, methods of financing business operations, and security selection and portfolio management. Naturally drawn to the former and latter of that list, following graduation he pursued a position as a fund accountant at State Street Bank. After quickly rising to a senior associate, Kevin accepted a position with Brown Brothers Harriman as a Client Service Supervisor. In this role he came to appreciate the importance of client service, and sought opportunities where he could apply his skills in a way that truly enhances the client experience. His compassionate personality and determination to provide accurate reporting in a timely manner make him a natural fit for the Centerpoint Advisors team.
Working at Centerpoint
Attention to detail and creating efficiencies are just two of Kevin’s strengths that perfectly lend to his role as Client Service Associate at Centerpoint Advisors. His day-to-day activities include the organization and preparation of portfolio reviews, reporting and CRM technology database maintenance, and investment research. Kevin is also the first to assist with all incoming client calls, quickly identifying their needs to assess for solutions as efficiently as possible. To stay on top of the items that matter most to clients, he frequently participates in investment committee meetings, portfolio manager presentations, and is key to expediting urgent client matters.
Outside the office
Kevin is productive by nature, and even on off days he works on a moving company business with his brother, with their longest move to-date of over 1,000 miles. As do many Massachusetts natives, however, Kevin also enjoys unwinding by watching the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots during the many cold months of the year. He is a fan of the chillier seasons and takes advantage of the region’s climate by snowboarding and playing hockey regularly. When the New England weather treats us to months that are not so frigid, Kevin can often be seen walking his dog Jack, who was a rescue in desperate need of a good home, and enjoys each walk down the many trails, mountains, and shorelines they explore.
