Medicare Planning Resources and Reminders

October 31, 2025

Several updates are coming next year as part of ongoing healthcare reforms.  Medicare premiums and deductibles are expected to rise modestly, while prescription drug coverage will see meaningful improvements – such as new out-of-pocket cost caps and expanded access to lower-cost medications.  Some Advantage and supplemental plans may also reprice premiums or scale back ancillary benefits like dental or vision coverage, so it’s important to review your plan carefully.

What You Can Do Now

Even if you’re happy with your current plan, take time this fall to:

  • Confirm that your doctors, specialists, and pharmacies will continue accepting your plan next year.
  • Review any notices from your plan provider outlining changes for 2026.
  • Make sure your prescription list still aligns with your plan’s formulary.

If you’d like a personalized review or want to compare plan options, Lori Howell is an excellent resource and works with individuals nationwide.
