December 24, 2018. By Centerpoint Advisors:

It’s been a wonderful year for Centerpoint Advisors. Out of all of the great projects we’ve worked on so diligently in 2018, we would like to take a moment to highlight our personal favorite and perhaps the most impactful: our Year of Giving charitable initiative.

This past year, we made a commitment as a team to volunteer each month, with team members taking office hours to spend time volunteering with a charity or cause that is close to them. Through this initiative, we were able to learn more about so many positive organizations including but not limited to:

Structuring our year around the idea of giving back also inspired us to be kinder outside of office hours, with team members taking personal time to go to local charities, such as My Brother’s Keeper, and taking moments to “pay it forward” with simple acts such as buying a bystander’s coffee or shoveling a neighbor’s driveway. To wrap up our year, we hosted kindness expert Tara Cousineau PhD to discuss her book “The Kindness Cure. How the Science of Compassion can Heal Your Heart and Your World”. You can read more about our volunteer experience and our recent event featuring Dr. Cousineau on our website, www.CenterpointAdvisors.net.

We would love to hear more about the charities that mean the most to you, and hope you will share them with us. Our team has committed to the same initiative for 2019. In the new year, we will shift our focus from personal interests to new organizations introduced to us through client and colleague recommendations. We feel that this will help expand our perspective while learning more about our community.

As Dr. Cousineau shared, “When people are kindhearted, generosity spreads”. From the entire team at Centerpoint Advisors, we wish you a holiday season filled with the warmth of kindness, generosity, and compassion. Please note that our office will be closed beginning at 1pm on December 24th, 2018 and will resume normal business hours on December 26th so that we may spend time with our family and loved ones over the holiday.

Sincerely,
Centerpoint Advisors
